Dear John,
I am writing to you for advice on job opportunities in Brisbane. I know that you are living there for past 5 years with your family. So, I thought it would be best to take your opinion on work prospects.
As you know I am living and working in Dubai for more than a decade now, life is monotonous and boring. I am finding my current job less challenging and unable to explore my full potential. I feel stunted. Not sure if it has got to do something with mid-life crisis ! So I decided to move places and start fresh. On doing some online research I came across Brisbane as a beautiful place and the work-life balance is good, and you know how much I love beaches and water sports.
Let me brief you about my career expertise and experience, I have worked in the IT industry for more than 10 years now, and handled various aspects of software project lifecycle, from the development stage to the post go-live support. I am an Oracle Certified Technician (OCT) in handling projects specific to retail and banking industry. Finally, last year I have even got my Masters in Business Administration from an American University.
I will send you my updated CV shortly, but before that need your thoughts on my move to your city with my work experience and knowledge, also let me know the basic pay package and standard average work hours in most organizations.
I will be waiting for your reply.
Your Friend,
Roopa.
