Books in the style of crime and children's fiction show a decrease in the number of borrowing. If in 1991 about 450 crime books were taken, then by 2001 this number was about 200. And books in the style of children's fiction decreased from about 650 to about 390.
However, all other genres of books have experienced a boost. Self improvement books grew to about 990 before 2001, although they were only 200 in 1991. Language books also increased in borrowing numbers and by 200 were 2001, and about 80 in 1991. Demand for thrillers also increased from about 600, they rose to 800. The highest need was for romance. By 2001, they were 1,400. And only autobiographies remained the same- about 400.
The pie chart shows the gender of visitors: 60 percent were women, and the remaining 40 were men.
Overall, all books except crime novels and children's fiction grew by 2001.
