In 1970, the amount of pizza consumed was the highest, at 300 grams per week, while the figure for pizza, fish and chips was significantly lower at nearly 50 grams and below 100 grams respectively
In 1990, the amount of fish and chips consumed in the UK increased rapidly by over 200 grams to over 300 grams per person per week and become the highest figure in the chart. There was a dramatic decrease to around 200 grams in the figure for pizza. The consumption of hamburgers experienced rapidly increased to nearly 300 grams.
