Essay topics:

The maps below show the structure of a museum in 1957 and 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given maps show alterations occurred in the setting of a museum between the two years 1957 and 2007.
As can be seen from the maps, the main building of this museum saw a complete change in the way it was constructed previously.
In 1957, the majority of this area was covered with trees which were also planted along one side of the main road. The museum entrance was at the end of a tortuous path, erected in the middle of its front. Meanwhile, inside the building, there was one large room allocated for the country's history exhibitions. The other two, however, were smaller and were used for local displays and storing purposes.
When it came to 2007, the museum main building was remarkably expanded to the north with an adding shop located to the Southwest where the entrance was placed. The local history room was also relocated to be the main part of the museum as the national displays were removed. At the same time, there was an increase in the size of the store-room and it was then utilized to serve food and drinks. 2007 also saw the construction of a new reception area, an education center as well as a room for special exhibitions. Likewise, the garden outside and the row of trees were cleared on a large scale in order to make room for visitors' cars.
