In 1970, each English person consumed approximately 40 grams of Hamburger per week. This figure rose significantly to nearly 300 grams by the end of the period. A similar upward trend was witnessed in the weekly consumption of Fish & Chips of each person in the U.K, with its figure surging from shy of 100 grams in 1970 to 500 grams by the last year.
A downward trend was recorded in how many grams of Pizza a citizen in England consumed weekly. To be specific, in 1970, 300 grams was the weekly consumption figure per capita in this country. This number declined progressively to slightly above 200 grams by 1990, a decrease of nearly 100 grams over 20 years.
