The two pie charts indicate the proportion of various industrial departments’ participation in the developing of Turkish economy from 2000 to 2016.
Overall, in the beginning agriculture accounted for the largest share of contribution, while construction input made up the least percentages of all sectors. However, in the end of the period an economic situation changed, thus education and healthcare department possessed the major engagement, whereas the poorest was finance and business.
Firstly, in 2000 the service sector comprised 1⁄3 of total result with 17% leisure and 17% healthcare and education, whereas in 2016 the contribution of hospitality and leisure slightly dropped to 14%. Moreover, in 2000 the input of agriculture to the economy of Turkey was 24%, but in the end of the period it significantly decreased to 14%.
By contrast, in the beginning the engagement of trade and manufacturing sectors made up 14% and 8%, respectively, however in 2016 their results gradually rose to 16% and 12%. Furthermore, the contribution of finance and business with 5% and construction with 3% steadily went up to 8% and 10% by the end.
