You are a club secretary. An expert from a different country recently gave a talk at the club. Write a letter to thank him/her and say how club members enjoyed it. Include the following in your letter:
– When and where did the talk take place?
– Explain why the members enjoyed it.
– Suggest another lecture to be done in the future.
Dear Mr John,
I am writing to earnestly thank you for the talk you gave at our environmental club house, last week. It was a fantastic experience and my club members cannot stop talking about it.
You were amiable and gracious to walk us through our obligations as individuals and a society in curbing the sources and impact of pollution to protect our environment. Moreover, we had always thought that these obligations rest completely with the government and assumed that it was never our cup of tea, until last week when you gave a talk that gravitated our mindset from that. Now, we have fully become aware of the necessary actions that should be exercised at individual level to assist the government in achieving the pollution free environment that we all seek. I was literally over the moon when I observed that my club members had started to create smaller teams for the purpose of sensitizing our community at large.
It will be a cherry on the cake to have you visit us one more time and give us another lecture that span across other environmental issues like gas emissions. This can be done at your convenient time, although, I hope that I am not asking for too much. We will be more than grateful to have you grace our stage once again.
Thank you so much.
Yours sincerely,
Lilian.
