School teachers are more responsible for social and intellectual development of students than parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is widely accepted that teachers play a pivotal role in our children's lives. What one should consider is their significant positive effects in both social and intellectual aspects of development. I wholeheartedly believe teachers as a leading role in the mentioned areas. The heated debate will be discussed in this essay and followed by some viable examples.
I think teachers' position is meritorious for myriad reasons, the first of which is that they are trained professionally by the pedagogical experts to understand different ways of upbringing kids. As an illustration, they can sift the information and explain the material with numerous approaches, like songs, plays, or even stories. Not only will it absorb better by students, but it also makes them ponder about the elements that are taught to them. It simply entails a better and faster understanding of basic knowledge.
The second is that kids' social abilities will be enhanced dramatically by playing with their peers in the school situation and under a teacher's supervision to minimize the negative peer pressures, like bullying each other. Undeniably, these qualities cannot be taught by any parents in the home environment. For instance, they can learn to share, give, and make firm-friendships.
However, it might be argued by some people that parents are the best role model for their offsprings since they love them more than others. It might not be true for many causes. The chief among them is that due to the bad economic situation in many parts of the globe, including my own country, dual-income families become a norm. They have to work around the clock from dawn till dusk to meet their ends meet. There is not no much time left, with this attitude, for parents to nurture their children and help them to progress.
By way of a conclusion, even though we all believe that parents might provide kids a useful source by which they can progress, I claim that teachers are more responsible for children's social and intellectual development.
