Pie chart
The given pie charts compare how much water was consumed for different purposes between 1007 and 2007.
Overall, it is apparent that the amount of water used for all the sectors, except for service industry and domestic use, witnessed a slight reduction after 10 years. It is also evident that the water consumption for food industry occupied the lion’s share of the pie while the proportion for building industry held a rather miniscule one.
Looking at the details, nearly half of the pie demonstrating water consumption in 1997 was allotted to food industry before experiencing a slight fall to 41% in 2007. Similarly, the figure for manufacturing underwent a negligible decrease over the ten-year period, from 15% to 11%. The proportion for building industry seemed to stay stable throughout the years with the percentage was next to none.
In contrast, the amount of water dedicated to service industry witnessed a twofold increase, from 13% in 1997 to roughly a quarter of the 2007 pie. The figure for domestic consumption also inched by 3% to 21% in the latter year.
