The given pie charts give information about the proportions of reasons that adults using their cell phones in Africa between the years 2016 and 2019.
Overall, the percentage of social networks was the highest of the four categories in Africa over the three year period. While social networks and digital camera saw an increase in the proportions used by African youngsters, the figures for email and phone calls reduced gradually over the period shown.
From the years 2016 to 2017,while social networks and email used by Africans fell slightly, with figures reducing by around 2% and 1% respectively, the opposite was true for the percentages of phone calls, rising by around 3% . Conversely, there was a stable remain in digital camera that young people used for their phones over the following year since 2016 in Africa.
Looking into the years 2018 and 2019, there were moderate changes in the percentages of networking sites and digital camera usage in Africa. Social networks had risen from 51% to 56% and by almost 2% of youngsters using digital camera. By contrast, Email and Phone calls in Africa had reduced by around 1% and 6% respectively over the years 2018 and 2019.
