Plan A below shows the ground floor of a particular art gallery in 2005 Plan B shows the same area in the present-day Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features make some comparisons where relevant.
The plans depict the development and modernization which has taken place in an art gallery since 2005.
Overall, this gallery has witnessed a wide range of significant changes, the most prominent of which is the rearrangement of the entrance hall and the reception desk at the center of the property. Nevertheless, it is clearly seen that nearly all of the exhibition rooms, apart from the fourth one, remained unrefurbished throughout the time period.
It is also apparent that exhibition room 4 has been flattened to make room for the current interactive children’s area and an adjacent place for the temporary exhibitions. Another refurbishment worth noticing is the demolishment of the gallery office and the installation of new vending machines. Furthermore, the café and shop area has been converted into a gallery shop.
There are also exponential changes to the stairways inside and outside of the gallery. On the outside, this has been halved with an intention of placing a new wheelchair ramp. On the inside, at the end of the gallery, next to exhibition room 3, a lift has been added; therefore, the stair leading up to the upper floor has been made smaller.
