Overall, there were many increases reported in all 4 types of game with the dominance of handheld games. Remarkably, online games and mobile phone games did not appear until 2001 and 2002 respectively
In 2000, handheld game and console game were the only two sorts of digital game. While there was about 6$ billion from the sale profit of console games, the figure for handheld version was doubled that, with approximately $12 billion. Not until 2001 was online games established as well as mobile phone games which was made not ealier than 2002, which were evenly sold at 1$ billion in their beginning years
However, by 2006 there were many significant growths in the sale profit of online and mobile phone games with the increases of 5$ billion and 7$ billion respectively, higher than the figure for console games which steadily dropped throughout the period. Finally, handheld game was still seen as the most-played type of game when it nearly brought 18$ billion to their enterprises
