The diagrams below show the existing ground floor plan of a house and a proposed plan for some building work.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
There has been a drastic requirement of changing the floor architecture in order to make it more spacious and useable. First, in order to understand the change requirement it is essential to understand the existing floor plan.
The initial floor plan has two internal doors but separately placed. One internal door is opened inside the kitchen, however, the other door is opened inside living room. There is a small staircase and beneath the stair case there is space for storage. There is a hall space which does not required to be built as it’s of no use leaving narrow space for the living room.
Floor changes are proposed primarily to make more use of space appropriately. As per the proposed plan, doors are now to be placed side by side right after main entrance. Hall space has been completely eliminated and stairs have been moved to end making it more spacious. Eventually, the living room corners have been broadened by removing the middle internal wall. Alongside, there is a proposal of separate space for kitchen furniture in order to build to be more rationalized.
In conclusion, the overall proposal is presented to utilize the space in more rationalized way.
