The provided maps illustrate the alteration of a city hospital’s access between the year 2007 and 2010.
From a cursory glance, it is evident that there was demolition of some infrastructure and a number of facilities was constructed. Overall, the road access to the city hospital was modernized and well-equipped after the transformation.
An insight into the maps reveals that the most noticeable change was the erection of two roundabouts at both ends of the Hospital Road. In 2007, there was some bus stops on two sides of the road, which were then replaced by a bus station linking between the roundabouts in 2010.
Another significant alteration of the access to the City Hospital was the transformation of the car park. While in 2007, there was only a car park shared by staff and people in the public, in 2010, the number of car parks increased to 2: the old one was for staff and the new one which was extended on the right of hospital was for public use.
