From a cursory glance, it is evident that younger generation consume less butter and milk, especially people under 25 with more fat content, while older people use more milk and butter but they are mainly low fat.
A closer insight into the table reveals that in terms of milk, the consumption of people under 25, whose fat content is the highest at 59%, ranked bottommost with 1200ml, followed by the 26-45 age group with 1650ml milk. Their fat consumption is also lowest at only 20%. In contrast, people aged 45-65 and over 65 drink more milk with 1670ml and 1900ml respectively. These age groups tend to drink low fat milk mainly with 55% for people aged 45-65 and 70% for the oldest generation.
A quite similar pattern can be seen in terms of butter where the butter consumption of people under 45 is significantly lower than that of the older age group.
