The pie charts illustrates the proportion of volunteers by six different arragement in the year of 2008 and 2014.
Overall, what stands out form the graphs is that volunteers's participation in environment, sports and health care significantly increased, while the opposite was true for art, education and others. Additionally, health care was the least popular during 2 years.
Looking at the details, as regard the figures for volunteers in 2008, volunteering in academic association was top of the list with 24%, just ahead of environmental association with 21%. Moreover, the percentage of volunteer participating in art was 18%, as opposed to 15% from sports and others. Whereas, the contribution of people do volunteer work in health care was nowhere near as much as other types of arrangement with only 7%.
Furthermore, the year of 2014 witnessed a sharp improvement in the number of people volunteering in natural and sports organisations, 29% and 25% repectively. Art came next at 12%, although this was considerably less common than tutoring at 17%. This was followed by other kinds of volunteering organsation with 9%, making it slightly more well-known than health care at just 8%.
