The chart below shows the number of girls per 100 boys enrolled in different levels of school education.

The graph illustrates the figures of female admission in schools for every 100 male in three main levels of education. Overall, the enrollment rate of females was higher in developed countries than developing countries.

To commence, none of the level was able to achieve the target of equal enrollments of male and female students in both years except for tertiary education in developed countries. Tertiary level recorded the highest number of girls admittance in developed countries with numbers surging higher than boys (105 and 112 in 1990 and 1998 respectively) while, the same level accounted for lowest enrollment of females in both years.

However, primary education was the only field with figures above 80 in both years for developed as well as developing nation although, it wasn't able to achieve the target within the period of 8 years. In addition, the figures of female admission increased by just by one in developed nations primary and secondary education over a period of 8 years. The highest rise is female students was noted in developing countries who enrolled themselves for secondary education with numbers increasing from 72 in 1990 to 82 in 1998.
