The chart below gives information about levels of education by age range and educational level by gender in Glasgow in 2010.
The first graph reveals the rate of levels of education by different age groups while the second one illustrates the share of educational level by two genders in Glasgow in the year 2010. It can be seen that the older people are, the fewer qualifications they have. Additionally, the educational gap between males and females showed a slight difference.
Regarding the category of the university degree, people aged 25 to 34 took the first position at 53% while those aged over 75 witnessed the lowest figure, at only 9%. The figure for 16-24-years-old people with school certificates dominated among all, accounting for nearly three times compared with that for people over 75 years old and doubled those for the remaining categories (at 66%). There was a minimal percentage of people with no qualifications in the three youngest age groups while a significant one can be seen in the three oldest age groups.
Regarding the second graph, the proportion of both genders consisted of about one-third of the total for each gender on average. Those who are university graduates and did not have school certificates showed a negligible gap, in which the figure for the former made up 32% for men and 29% for women while that for the latter did opposite.
