Percentage of UK people who consumed daily recommended amounts of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010
The bar graph illustrates the number of fruits and vegetables consumed by three particular British genders and ages for 8 years from 2002 to 2010.
In general, the percentage of fruits and vegetables of both three groups had an upward trend at the first stage but finally slightly down from 2010. Kids consumed the lowest amounts of green products among men and women.
In 2002, 25% of the amounts of fruit and vegetables are consumed by women which was 3% more than men. Children ate the suggested diet lower than other groups, at over 10%. There is a significant change in 2006, the proportion of fruit and vegetables consumed by males increased from 22% to 26%. Female consumers accounted for 14% higher than kids at eating products, at 32% and 18% respectively.
From 2006 to 2010, there was a downward trend in both ages and genders. The percentage of both British males and kids who consumed daily suggested diet slightly decreased to 2%, at 24% and 16% respectively. Women still kept leading the consumption percentage rate in 2010 despite it reduced by 6%.
