The table shows statistics about the top five countries for international tourism in 2012 and 2013.
The table gives information about the figures for the five most developed nations for foreign visitors in two years 2012 and 2013. In general, it is evident that most of the visitors witnessed a continual increase among the four countries, whereas the opposite was true for China. In addition, tourists tended to splurge a huge amount of money on tourism in most countries, except for France.
Looking at the fact from the table, France made up the enormous number of travellers in both years, standing at nearly 85 million. This figure was also nearly twice times as high as the number of visitors from Italy. While there was a larger amount of travelers from the USA, Spain, and China with a large number at 66,7, 57,5 and 57,7 respectively. After a year, most nations saw a sharp upward trend rising to around 3 million, however, there was a slight decrease in the number of China’s tourists dropping from 57,7 to 55,7.
Turning to the tourist spending in the mentioned period, there was no double that with the drastic jump from 126,2 to 139,6 billion dollars, the USA gained the most significant profit as well as was far eclipsing the profit of other countries. France, Spain, and China spent larger money on tourism following the USA with over half a billion dollars in 2012, then increasing by 2 or 3 billion dollars in the next year. In contrast, Italy country provided the lowest returns just more than 40 billion dollars.
