The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901
The data representates the amount of workers and factories in England and Wales since 1851 until 1901. It is measured in thousand persons and hundred units. Overall, it showed a decline the number of workers which involves females and males throughout the year while the total of mills rose significantly in the middle of the year and then decreased dramatically in the next year.
According to the result in 1851 to 1881, there has occurred the increase of factories number exactly 496 from 225 to 721 but it was followed by dropped need of employees specifically 477.100 in the initial year to only 126.132 with details the data of females and males changed consecutively at 150.000 and 200.938 in the last fifty years.
Then in 1891 to 1901, the number of mills fell steadily as much as 121 units and on the same line with the toiler who had decreased in both of genders and it caused the reduction of total laborers indeed 44.000 in the last ten years.
