Some say that university students should pay the full cost of their studies because higher education only benefits the students and not the society.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Some people think that it is students' responsibility to pay their full cost of studies at the University because they argued that only students are receiving the advantages of their studies rather than the public. Students often get many profitable things from their higher studies, however, this essay disagrees with the statement because these educated youth are an asset to society.
On the one hand, higher education would have returned to the students in terms of salary, respect, and standard of living throughout their life. Such things are not getting to the public even if they are paid for someone's higher education. For example, sponsored education or scholarships are helps the students to achieve their goals without the financial burden during the study time. However, indeed, educated people are always an investment in society irrespective of their self-income and positions.
Educated youth are the corner stone of each society. People who are honored with higher education are guiding the nation to another level. They can lead, they can divert, and they can manage the public with their knowledge and academic standards. Owing to the fact that, it is truly an unethical to put all the weight to the students shoulder as payments. Regarding the benefits of education, it is the students right to receive the outcome of their studies, inputs and hard work of years. On the other ways, the output of studies would return to society through national developments, social achievements, and the overall well-being of humanity. For instance, higher education may provide good politicians, academic leaders, and scholars to the public.
To sum up, the beneficiaries of higher education are not only the students but also the society, therefore it is a social responsibility to hold a hand to help them.
