The two charts given compare a nation in terms of the proportion of males and females engaging in doing distict types of house chores and how much time they spent accomplishing each task per day.
It is clear from the first chart that women were prone to cook. Additionally, the second one indicates that females spared more time for completing tasks compared to males.
In the first chart, doing cooking was the most popular kind of house chores among women, at 80%, compared to 60% of them cleaning. Meanwhile, the rates of pet care and house repairs were 4 and 8 times as low as that of cooking, at 20% and nearly 10% respectively. About men, 60% of males completing cooking, followed by only 40% and over 20% of them doing cleaning and pet care in turn. Likewise, the proportion of house repairs constituted approximately one fifth of 100 % of the total.
The second chart illustrates that females tended to spend time cooking, at over 80 minutes each day, whereas exactly 60 minutes spared by males for doing this. Conversely, about cleaning, the figures for women and men were nearly 65 and 45 minutes in that order. The number of minutes used by males to care pets shared the comparable figues with that of females, at 20 minutes. By contrast, there are about 17 minutes spent by men repairing houses, compared to nearly 5 minutes used by women.
