The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The given chart compares the amount of Australian men and women who regularly did exercise from 6 distinct age groups in 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the proportions for men in all cases were higher than for women, except for the 15-24 age group, which possessed the highest percentage of women exercising. Meanwhile, that of men belonged to the 45-54 group.
In terms of the first 3 groups, the figure for women who were 15 to 24 years old stood at the peak, at 52.8%, then dropped by over 10% when they turned 35. By contrast, boys who turned 35 years old, tended to do exercises more frequently. This meant the percentage of males grew from 47.7% to the second highest point, at 52.5%.
Regarding the remaining features, men from the 45-54 group, whose figure was 53.3%, were inclined to take part in physical activities more than all other groups. While this proportion noticeably decreased to 47.1%, the amount of women partaking in exercises gradually climbed to approximately 47% when they become 65 or older.
