The table and charts below give information on the police budget .
The table and charts illustrates police budget in two years (2017 and 2018). The table shows the money given to police in pounds. While, the charts represent how the money was distributed in the two years.
Overall, it was obvious that the most of the income was from the national government. The money was majorily distributed on salaries. Despite that the income increased in 2018 than in 2017, the money spent on salaries decreased in 2018 than in 2017.
In the table, the income from the national government which had the largest sector in providing police with money had increased from 175.5m£ to 177.8m£. Local taxes also had a jump from 91.2m£ to 102.3m£. However, other sources increased only by half million pounds.
In the charts, salaries were the largest sector. In contrast, they lowered from 75% to 69%. Spending money on building and transport kept constant. Moreover, the money spent on technology had shown a rise from 8% to 14%.
