The diagram shows the life cycle of a salmon

The picture illustrates various stages of how salmon grow and reproduce
Overall, it is clear that life cycle of salmon consists of three habitats, beginning with salmon spawning in river and ending with salmon moving from ocean back to river.
In the first stage, salmon spawn in the river, producing incubation. After that, baby salmon start to emerge from these eggs and are kept and bred by the adult ones in freshwater areas. Once the baby salmon have been older, they then move to the estuary area and rear there before ready to transition to the ocean.
In the following stage, salmon mitigate to the ocean and travel to their rearing areas. In these areas, they continue to develop and mature for a period. In the last stage, once they have reach an adequate size, salmon undergo another migration, and back to the spawning areas in rivers. The whole cycle is then ready to start again
