The diagrams illustrate the process of building an igloo.
The given pictures describe steps of building an igloo.
In general, there are 13 stages to complete an igloo with the first stage of finding hard-packed snow and the final step is cutting ventilation in the walls or roof.
To commence with, it is important to find the hard-packed snow. Then, a snow saw is used to slice this snow into several large blocks which are located at the base of an igloo. Before being placed to form a circle, these snow blocks will be smoothed the edges by a snow saw. Next, a hole under the wall needs to be dug to create an entrance into the igloo. The last opening on top is filled with a large block.
In the next step, snow is thrown onto the igloo and packed into all crevices. Then, the inside of the igloo is smoothed by hand. After that, the entrance is built and the hole is covered with snow blocks. Finally, to complete the igloo, ventilation holes must be cut in the walls or roof.
