The maps below show changes that took place in Youngsville in New Zealand over a 25-year period from 1980 to 2005.
The given maps illustrate some changes to Youngsville in New Zealand over a period of 25 years starting from 1980 to 2005.
Overall, it is clear that Youngsville experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between the two maps are the existence of a stadium with two car parks, and the appearance of a Marina.
As can be seen from the maps, at the North of the River Alanah from 1980 to 2005, the hospital in the northwest of Youngsville remained unchanged. During the same period, many trees were chopped down to make way for a park, a car park, and some entertainment areas. The residential areas in the northeast were also demolished and replaced by a stadium and another car park. Moreover, the railway was lengthened and there was a construction of a new marina.
Turning to the other features at the South of the river, we can see that the school, the railway station, and the airport with the car park nearby still existed, while the woodland and the space area in the southeast were replaced by a warehouse and many factories. Additionally, new skyscrapers were constructed on the original site of the residential zone in the southeast.
