The supplied line chart enumerates the rate of unemployment in two different countries from the year 1993 to 1999. The striking feature is that both the countries depict opposite trend during these six years.
As it is observed from the data, USA was at its maximal in unemployment in march 1993 with 7%. After this, it represents the declining trend till march 1995 and was at 5.5%. Afterwards, it shows a mild plunged upto march 1996. Later, the rate of unemployment was at its lowest point in march 1999 with 4%.
To continue with, Japan touched the bottom degree of unemployed workers in march 1993 with less than 2%. Subsequently, it went on increasing with a constant rate. It rose to 3.5% in march 1996. Till march 1998, it remains unchanged at 3.5% with minor fluctuations. It reached at a peak in march 1999 with 4.6%.
All in all, the percent of unemployment in Japan is at the topmost in march 1999 whereas in USA, it is at its feeblest point in 1999.
