Development of Chorleywood’s between 1868 and 1994
The given map depicts about appearance in Chorleywood village. Overall it needed over a 120-year period to construct main roads, motorway, railway and four kinds household areas.
The first infrastructure was two main roads from north to southwest and from east to northwest which bounded Chorleywood Park and Golf course. From the late 1860 to 1922 Chorleywood went on two residences as long vertical main roads which is one area three times bigger than another and during middle of development period also was constructed railway from north to west in south of village center.
The development project was continued in same years with two gray shaded areas following railway. Then the last, five diagonal shaded areas and motorway were started in 1970. Interestingly, all pathway set up surrounding park and golf arena. Also many abodes were built after being of transportation access. However, after project focused to the last biggest project in 1970, no development areas were erected again.
