The chart below show what UK graduate and post graduate students who did not go into full time work did after leaving college in 2008
The chart illustrates the working conditions of the UK graduate and post graduates who did not opt for full-time work right after finishing their studies in the year 2008.
Overall, the maximum number of pupils studying for graduate and post-graduate studies chose to further study while, the least number of students get into voluntary work. Popularity of part-time work was just slightly below than further study for post graduates. Unemployment rate is around half than the further study chooser. There was a marginal difference between the number of students who joined part-time work and stayed unemployed.
29.665 graduate students took an option to further study, on the other hand, only 2725 post-graduate students opted for that. In the case of working voluntarily 3500 graduate students selected it while, only 355 post-graduate students accepted the voluntary work.
17,735 graduate students decided on part-time work, whereas, 2535 post-graduate students did choose the part-time work which was just below than those who chose to further study. 16,235 graduate students left unemployed while, 1625 post-graduate students remain unemployed. The unemployment ratio is almost half than those who chose to study further. There was a marginal difference between part-time work and unemployment in both graduate and post-graduate students.
