Adults rate in using Internet
The given chart indicates the mature people’s proportion in Internet usage in the Great Britain with six various age stages between 2003 and 2006.
It is clear that that the younger British people were, the more adults used the Internet. Additionally, the percentage of adults in most of age groups spending their time on the Internet were always lowest in 2003.
In 15-25 stage, the adults rate in using Internet experienced a little rise from around 4,3% in 2003 to about 4,4% in 2004 and peaked in 2005, at 4,5%, before falling back to the 2005 rate in the last year. There was approximately 4,2% of British adults in 25-35 age group ultilizing Internet in 2003, and this figure went up slightly to roughly 4,3% and still remained that same proportion during three following years.
The proportion of adults in 35-45, 45-55 and 55-65 group using Internet witnessed a consistent increase during four years and reached it’s own peak by the year 2006 at about 3,8%; 2,7% and 1,8% respectively. Especially, 65 and over British did not use the Internet in 2003. Meanwhile, this figure for three other years just stood at nearly half of 1%.
