The bar chart below shows the passenger kilometres traveled by different means of transport in the UK in 1990 and 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given chart illustrates the total of kilometres which passengers travelled by 5 different kinds of transportation in the UK over a period of 10 years, namely bicycle, motorbike, air, bus, rail.
In general, what stands out from the graph is that the total kilometres which passengers went in 1990 was 15 times as high as that of bicycle in the same time. It is clear to see that while the passengers kilometres travelled by bicycle and motorbike decreased over a period shown, the others experienced a reverse trend.
Looking at the graph, it is clear to see that the total kilometres which people in the UK travelled was the highest during 10 years, from 100 billions to 110 billion. By 2000, the number of kilometres in rail had experienced a dramatic increase, with a jump of about 10 billion. This figure in 2000 was equalled that of bus in the same time, at around 50 billion.
When it comes to the others, there was a slight decrease of under 1 billion in the number of kilometres which people in the UK travelled by bicycle. A similar trend could be seen for motorbike, with a drop to 6 billion in 2000.
