The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The bar graph illustrates how many males and females of different ages, starting from 15, in Australia did physical activity regularly in 2010.
In general, it can be observed that Australian women did physical exercises more regularly than men in general. As expected, young adults used to be keener on this activity than their elders.
In 2010, over half of men between 15 and 24 exercised on a regular basis. This figure is slightly higher than women of the same age group (47.7%). Among old people above 65, the proportion of both genders was nearly the same, roughly 46-47% each.
On the other hand, in terms of doing exercises, the percentage of females outnumbered in other age groups. The most significant gap was in people between 35 and 44, with exactly 13% less in males. In the other three groups, approximately 42.2%, 43.1%, and 45.1% of men said they are athletic whereas half of the women on average revealed the same.
