The diagram below shows how rocks are created and destroyed in the rock cycle.
The diagram represents the formation and destruction of rocks in a natural process called the rock cycle.
In general, the cycle is common in volcanic areas. It is observed that rocks are created by the explosion of volcanoes and destroyed back by rain which causes erosion.
Initially, a volcano has a hot yellowish liquid called magma underground. When the volcano erupts, the lava cools quickly and turns into igneous rocks. They are also formed by magma when it is flowing upward. If we look at the second lowest surface of the mountain besides, sedimentary rocks group there. According to high pressure and temperature, those rocks travel downward and deposit as metamorphic rocks which in turn melt into magma.
After all, every type of rock, igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic, rises slowly to the top of the mountain. However, frequent rains lead to the erosion of rock into sand and stones which fall to the ground. Eventually, those particles become sediments and unite as sedimentary rocks and the procedures recycle again.
