The given bar chart compares the rate of males and females in Australia who do exercises on a regular basis considering six different age groups in the year 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that generally, Australian women tend to participate in working out more than their counterparts except for the youngest age group and as people are getting older, they are likely to do exercise more often in this country.
The most remarkable feature in this chart is that the aged between 35 to 64, women doing regular physical activity accounted for at least 52.2% while, males ranged from nearly 40% to 45.1%. In particular, people who are 45 to 54 had the most significant figures at 53%, on the other hand, the age group between 35 to 40 in males was the lowest at 39.5%.
In the meantime, the age bracket from 15 to 24 showed the adverse trend compared with the data as mentioned above. Men who took part in regular exercise accounted for just over a half, in contrast, women in this group had only 47.7&. Regarding the age of 65 and above had the similar figures between females and males who were involved in exercise regularly with 47.1% and 46.7% respectively.
