The bar chart illustrates the information about the proportion of students who completed high school exams in different subjects based on their gender during the academic year of 2010-2011. It should be pointed out that the number of girls and boys are different in various field of studies.
On the one hand, the information indicates that computer science is the subject which most of the girls have passed. In fact, the amount of 56.3 % of girls completed computer science; therefore, this subject is the most popular subject among all others. Other fields of studies, such as mathematics and foreign language also have a significant number of girl students who passed their exams. Also, the lowest percentage of girls belongs to geography, with only 20.1 % of girls.
On the other hand, the information about the boy students shows that most of the boys are good at mathematics and foreign language. In fact, the proportion of 48.4% and 46.8 % of boys have passed these courses; therefore, these courses are the most favorite subjects among boys. Furthermore, the lowest percentage of boy students associated with the chemistry subject with only 14.1%.
In general, there are differences between the number of students who passed the high school exams by gender. Most of the boys are good at mathematics and foreign language while most of the girls are good at computer science. Also, it should be noted that chemistry for boys and geography for girls are the subjects which do not have a notable number of passed students.
