The bar chart illustrates data about the ten countries with the highest electricity production and consumption levels in 2014. Overall, while China ranked first in both of them, the lowest figures were recorded in the Republic of Korea. Those of China were also higher than all the other countries combined.
In terms of electricity production, China was responsible for the largest contribution of nearly 5400 billion kWh, which was followed by the United States, with approximately 4100 billion kWh produced. In both nations, less electricity was consumed, at roughly 5.300 and 3.900 billion kWh, respectively.
Regarding other nations, the disparity between their figures and that of the aforementioned countries was quite considerable. A striking feature was that Russia had almost the same levels of electricity production and consumption, at over 1000 billion kWh. Other nations' figures were all under 1000, and Kor, in stark contrast with China, produced and consumed the least quantity of electricity, at 485.1 and 449.5 billion, respectively.
