The bar chart describes the statistics of tourists of four museums in London including History Museum, British Museum, National Museum and Science Museum during different months in an unspecified year.
Overall, August was the peak season of museum goers. National Museum was the least popular to tourists while the opposite was true for British Museum.
The months June and July witnessed a quite similar number of visitors to each museum. History Museum, British Museum and Science Museum each had over 400,000 guests in June, with Science Museum showing a slight lead at 430,000 people. The number of tourists to National Museum was about half as many as that of Science Museum with only 210,000 people. In July, whereas the statistics of History Museum and British Museum remained relatively stable, there was a notable drop of around 20,000 people in the category of Science Museum goers.
August saw the number of guests to History Museum and British Museum reaching a peak of 600,000 and 720,000 people respectively. After that, the number of visitors to these two museums soon declined gradually to 220,000 people for History Museum and 460,000 people for British Museum in December. Similarly, National Museum’s number of guests peaked at 300,000 people in August before quickly falling to 180,000 people December and secured its position as the least frequently visited museum. The number of visitors to Science Museum was the same as that of July before climbing to the mark of 250,00 people just to decrease sharply by twice in December.
