The bar chart above illustrates the percentage of small, medium, and large enterprises using social media for business purposes in a four-year period from 2012 to 2016.
Generally, large companies appeared to have the highest percentage over the four-year period in comparison to small and medium counterparts.
Small and medium enterprises witnessed fluctuation in terms of business-purported social media growth. Small and medium companies’ percentage varied significantly in term of social media usage for business purposes. Small business witnessed a significant growth to almost 50 percent in
2016 which recorded as highest for the whole period whereas medium business fluctuated and reached slightly over 50 percent in 2016.
Large enterprise recorded the highest percentage throughout the whole period. However, in 2015, large companies witnessed a sharp drop from almost 80 percent in 2014 to just approximately 55 percent.
