The bar graph provides information about various categories of digital games in term of their number of games sold worldwide over a 6 - year period starting from 2000.
It is noticeable that mobile phone games, online games, and handheld games witnessed an upward trend over the period shown, while the opposite was true for console games. Handheld games was the best selling games from 2000 to 2006.
There was only two digital games in 2000, which were console games and handheld games, stood at 6 billion and just over 11 billion respectively. 2 year later, mobile phone games and online games both appeared on the game market, accounting for about 1 billion, while handheld games increased by 2 billion and console games declined by half a billion. In 2003, mobile phone games experienced a substantial increase in the number of sales of around 3 billion, whereas the figure for online games was grew to 2 million. Similarly, handheld games was rised to 15 million, but console games was dipped slightly at 4 million.
In 2004, mobile phone games and online games both increased to about 4 million, while console games remained stable and handheld games climbed gradually. Over the following 2 years, mobile phones games, consoles games and handheld games were rised drastically, and console games fell to 3 million.
