The bar chart gives information about the number of mobile phones sold by five different brands over a period of 5 years starting from 2009.
It is noticeable that samsung, apple, and ZTE grew in the number of mobile phone sales over the period shown, while the opposite was true for the other brands. Similarly, samsung also reached the highest mobile phone sales globally in 2013.
In the year 2009, the number of cellphone sales by samsung stood at about 250 million, which was doubled 4 years later, at approximately 450 million. Similarly, apple was just over 25 million in 2009, before increasing drastically to around 150 million in 2013. By contrast, nokia was the highest selling brand in 2009, at nearly 450 million, but later declined substantially to just over 250 million.
There were roughly 130 million cellphone sales by LG in 2009, which fell dramatically to 80 million after 4 years. On the other hand, the figure for ZTE increased marginally over the period shown, by only 1 million.
