The carts bellow show how the average household budget was pent in two different years
The pie charts provide information average household expenses in five different category during 1965 and 2015. The way the budget was used was very different in each of those years.
In 1965, the largest budget was used on food category (35%). Moreover, housing used up 30% of the total budget. In other words, Housing and Food consumed more than half the budget. Healthcare was on the third place which spent money 15% of budget while, clothing was 12%. Furthermore, two smallest expenses was transportation (5%) and other (3%).
In 2015, the expenses proportion were different than 1965 in each category. Housing and healthcare took up over half the budget. Housing (35%) was the largest expense while, healthcare (25%) was on the second place. Transportation expense risen 10% than in 1965, while clothing expense declined slightly 7%. Similarly like clothing, food declined significantly from 35% to 15%, while other expense increased up to 2%.
