The chart compares the education levels by 5 various age brackets in Glasgow in 2010.
It is noticeable that the majority of persons having a university degree was in the younger age range while most of the people in the oldest age range have no certificate. The share of people in the 3 youngest groups obtaining no qualifications was the same.
Starting with the youngest age brackets, 76% of people hold university, slightly higher than the figures for individuals age 16-24 and 35-50, at 71. Meanwhile, the rate of persons who have school certificates was greater in 16-24 and 35-50 age groups than in 24-35, at 20% and 15% respectively. Moreover, the same percentages of persons with no qualifications (9 people) were recorded in all 3 age ranges.
Turning to the oldest demographics, the proportion of individuals obtaining university degrees in 50-to-75-year-old was 50%, double the figure for those aged 75 and over, at 25%. Similarly, 20% of people aged 50 to 75 had decided to complete only high school education, compared to a mere 3% of 75 and older age group. This trend was reversed in those with no certificate, 72% in those aged 75 and over and 30% in 50-75-year-old people
