The chart below shows the amount of sales for four different kinds of foods in supermarkets in four different cities in America.
The chart represents the four types of foods (bars, crackers, snacks and cookies) sold in supermarkets located in four different cities in the US, namely; New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Diego. Units are measured in millions of dollars.
Overall, Boston had the highest sales in all food types and Los Angeles had more sales in Crackers and bars. San Diego had the lowest sales in all types of foods.
Looking in details for cookies and snacks, Boston recorded the highest sales for both types of foods of $3500 million for cookies and $500 million for snacks, while New York and Los Angeles had the same amount of sales in cookies of $2500 million. The amount of sales for snacks was slightly higher for Los Angeles than that of New York as both recorded at below $500 million. The lowest sales was San Diego of around $1500 million for cookies and $500 million for snacks.
In terms of crackers and bars, $1000 million and about $2600 million sold respectively for Boston located supermarket, whereas Los Angeles experienced of around $600 million and $2500 million sold for crackers and bars, respectively. This is followed by New York of around $2400 million for bars and just below $500 million for crackers, whilst the lowest sales were made by San Diego which sales were just above $1000 million for bars and half of those were for crackers.
