The chart below shows the number of the Internet users in three different countries and the world average between 1998 and 2013
The bar chart illustrates how many people using the Internet in three countries namely Greece, Denmark, Canada and the world average over the course of 15 years starting in 1998.
Overall, looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that an upward trend was witnessed in the number of Internet users of all countries and the world average. It is also notable that during the period shown with the exception of 1998, Denmark registered the highest figure.
In 1998, the number of people using Internet in Denmark was the second highest, at roughly 25 thousand. However, this figure significantly quadrupled to 80 thousand and surpassed Canada in 2003. In the term of Canada, after having experienced a dramatic increase in the quantity of users to 70 thousand, it grew steadily by 18 thousand till the end of the time frame.
Greece had the lowest number of Internet users, at only 3 thousand in 1988 but there was a gradual growth in the figure by 20 thousand people each 5-year period. Likewise the world average climbed as well, moving from 4 thousand to 35 thousand users at the of the end period in question.
