The pie charts illustrate how employed people spent their time on a variety of activities between 1958 and 2005, in a particular country.
Overall, working adults in this particular country spent most of the time in day for working in 1958, while the figure for travelling to work was the lowest position in the same period. In addition, the number of people who spent a day for sleeping and working was nearly the same. After 50 years, the relationship between working and sleeping witnessed a significant change.
In 1958, most adult used the time in day at work, at around 33% whereas sleeping recorded at the second rank, with 32%. This figure for these two categories had a small minority and no differences. Moreover, the number of people spending time for going out was 19%, twice as much as those who used time for relaxing at home with family. Besides, other activities recorded at a small number, just 6% while the average percentage for travelling at work just around 2% which was regarded as very minor.
In 2008, the relationship between the number of people spending time at work and those who used a day for sleeping witnessed a significant change. Furthermore, the average percentage of working section increased slightly from 33% to 42%, while sleeping saw a downward trend in this period, just 25%. Relaxing at home had a considerable change, as twice as much going out, at 6% and 13%, respectively. Finally, more people spent time for travelling at home and other the percentage of those used their time for hobbies remained unchange after a long time.
