The graph illustrates the proportion of families in rented and purchased apartments in the two biggest countries of Great Britain over the 93 years since 1918.
Overall, the amount of rented accommodation has a gradual fell, while trend on private property has slightly rose.
According to the statistic, the popularity of rented housing in the period for 1918 to 1971 reduced from about 80% to 50%. On the other hand for that period the sales of habitation have climbed to the same number but from about 20%. It is following that in the period from 1971 to 2011, both trends were continuing their course and by 2011 their directions dramatically changed. The household in owned accommodation began to decrease. In 2001 it was about 70, and it had an upward trend to 65. The rented housing in 2001 was about 30, then rose to half of forty by 2011.
