The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in 1999.

The chart illustrates the percentages of people paying a visit to four different types of tourist sites in Britain in 1999.

As can be seen from the chart, theme parks accounted for the highest figure with the majority of their visitors going to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Meanwhile, wildlife parks and zoos made up the smallest percentage.

In particular, nearly two-fifths of the people surveyed visited theme parks, at 38%, followed by 37% of visiotes seeing museums and galleries. Moreover, in theme parks, it was Blackpool Pleasure Beach that drew the highest number of people with a massive percentage, at 47%. Alton Towers had 30% lower, at 17%, compared to 16% of Pleasurelad, Southport and 10% each of the two left places.

Whereas, only 16% of the tourists paid a visit to historic houses and monuments in 1999, as against 9% of them going to wildlife parks and zoos.
