The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The chart provides information about the total number of minutes of telephone calls in the United Kingdom split in three groups in the period of seven years.

We can see from the data that the local calls numbers fluctuated slightly, the minutes being fewer at the end, but they still remained the highest throughout 1995 to 2002 compared to the other two call types. While the mobile calls numbers rocketed, starting at around 3 billion in 1995 and reaching 45 billion in 2002. The mobile calls popularity increased by around 10 times during the period of time presented in the chart.

However the minutes of national and international calls started from a little below 40 billion to 60 billion. The numbers had a gradual rise.

In the beginning, there was significant discrepancy between the numbers of local calls and mobile calls, the first reaching around 70 billion minutes meanwhile the other only having 3 billion but in the end the difference diminished to 70 billion, respectively 45 billion.
